Outside Scholarship Opportunities

Below is just a handful of the many outside scholarship opportunities available to college and university students. These scholarships are not institutional UMO scholarships. Rather, these scholarships are offered through private companies and organizations to help students just like you. This list is updated regularly as new outside scholarships are announced and discovered. Students are to write 750-1000 words essay based on topic : "How Social Media affects Students in relation to their study habits"

 Eligibility and Criteria

  • Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Must be currently attending or planning to attend an accredited college or university during the fall of 2018 forward.
  • For applicants under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  • You must be in good academic standing with your current educational institution.

Applicants Requirements:
  • For Undergraduate and Graduate Students
  • Be a citizen of the United States and 18 years of age or older
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Be pursuing a technical undergraduate or graduate degree in one of the 21 specified STEM disciplines

  • Must be currently attending or planning to attend a college or university during 2018-2019 academic year.
  • Must be in good academic standing with your current educational institution.
  • For applicants; students must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must apply to contest via email and provide your name, address, and the name of the institution you are attending or plan to attend.
  • Must provide your written essay by the deadline of December 5, 2018.
  • A winner will be chosen on December 15, 2018.
